Waves
The lows are as crippling as the highs are invigorating. Just Monday, I reported highest ever usage of our platform in a single day. Since then, it’s been very downhill.
What does our platform do? It simply allows you to create and deploy custom bots on your own messaging application, all powered — shockingly — by AI. Well, one of our customers used it to create a show screener. Something that helps parents with information related to shows. You can type the name of a show, say “Oswald”, and it will give you a breakdown of the visual and audio stimulation, pacing, and potential for learning. Fun fact: that blue metropolitan octopus is actually one of the best things to show to your child.
The group grew in 4 days to over 400 parents. But this created its own problems. There have been anomalies in our AI responses, where it sometimes gives conflicting ratings for the same show. Parents are… unsure how to take this, to put it mildly (something they did not do). This discovery in theory is good feedback and progress, but I don’t immediately know how to solve this problem, and the last 2 days have been extremely stressful dealing with it, and another round of burnout to boot.
To end on a lighter note, one of the parents’ wife is the writer of a children’s show. It seems like we’ve made at least one person happy:
